Jean Coutu Flyer Hawkesbury

North American subsidiary of Coutu in Warwick, Rhode Island-based Jean Coutu Group (PJC) USA Inc., operated mainly along the east coast, according to pharmaceutical advertising Brooks Eckerd in New England and New York Northern Pharmacy , Pennsylvania and southern Georgia. US operations were sold out within a transaction with Rite Aid. Coutu bought Brooks in 1994 from Revco drug chain now extinct Jean Coutu Flyer Hawkesbury. In mid-2004, Coutu bought more than half of the Eckerd stores in (mainly parts along the east coast) of retailer JC Penney department stores. From 1999 to 2004, the chain was second fastest growing retailers in the world. August 24, 2006, Rite Aid announced that it has acquired 1,858 operations of US Brooks and Eckerd Jean Coutu $ 1.45bn in cash and the issuance of shares, giving Jean Coutu 32% of the equity shares of Rite Aid [4]. Ritual assistance announced the acquisition completed on June 4, 2007.

July 2013 Coutu began its last shares of Rite Aid available for sale. The Jean Coutu no longer has any Rite Aid shares.
